Boca win Copa Sudamericana

BUENOS AIRES - Boca Juniors goalkeeper Roberto Abbondanzieri saved two penalties and then fired the winner himself as the Argentines beat Mexico's UNAM 4-3 in a shootout to win the Copa Sudamericana for the second year running on Sunday.

The tie went to penalties after the second leg ended in a 1-1 draw at the Bombonera, the same result as the first leg in Mexico earlier this month.

Extra time is not played in the Sudamericana, which is the region's equivalent of Europe's Uefa Cup.
