Cosmos edge determined SuperSport

JOMO Cosmos grabbed their second Coca-Cola Cup after they beat SuperSport United 4-1 in a penalty shoot-out at a packed Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Saturday.

Neither side could find the back of the net during a steady-paced 90 minutes but found the net within the space of a minute during extra time.

With the game heading for the dreaded penalty shoot-out, Tebogo Mokoena put Cosmos in the lead after 109 minutes.

However, United came back almost immediately as Mandla Zwane equalised to arrange the lottery of spot kicks.

The Coca-Cola Cup remains the only major tournament trophy missing from the United cabinet.
