Nigeria beat South Africa 1-0

NIGERIA'S Super Falcons, the reigning African women's champions, defeated South Africa's Banyana Banyana 1-0 in a friendly on Saturday.

Nkechi Egbe scored the lone goal from the penalty spot in the 10th minute.

Saturday's friendly in Oghara, located in Nigeria's Delta State, was the Falcon's fifth win over South Africa in six international encounters.

Nigeria remain the dominant figure in African women's football, winning every African championship since the inception of the continental tournament in 1998.
