The deceased, 38-year-old Mathias Tiki, had allegedly threatened to kill the suspect before he was shot, the Police reported yesterday. |

The Police are investigating a charge of murder. * Two suspects appeared in the Outapi Magistrate's Court on Thursday after allegedly breaking into a house there and stealing goods with an estimated value of more than N$12 000. The suspects are Kapupu David and Lukas Latoka. * In Windhoek, the Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide against a taxi driver believed to be responsible for the death of one of his passengers. The taxi apparently tried to make a U-turn in Hosea Kutako Road on Thursday, resulting in a collision between his vehicle and an oncoming Iveco bus. The passenger, identified as 25-year-old Joseph Nghiaami, died on the scene. * Police have also reported the death of 70-year-old Evangeline Hamunyela from Ohangwena. She was hit by a car at Ongha village on Saturday afternoon. * Last Wednesday, the body of 32-year-old Walter Hailonga from Oshakati was found hanging from a tree. He had apparently committed suicide. * Sixteen-year-old Abraham Matheus from Okatope was found dead at a village near the town. Police suspect he hanged himself. |
