Five rape cases over two days

POLICE have reported five cases of rape between Thursday and Saturday last week.

At around 05h00 on Thursday, a 20-year-old woman was raped in a storeroom at Club Kazondjandja at Kuisebmond at Walvis Bay.

The suspect, whose identity is not known, is still at large.

* Later on Thursday, a 15-year-old girl from Otjiwarongo was forced to have sex with a 41-year-old man.

A suspect has been arrested and appeared in court yesterday.

* On the same day at around 14h00, a seven-year-old girl at a village at Katima Mulilo was raped, allegedly by an 18-year-old boy.

The boy allegedly threatened to beat her if she screamed.

He has since been arrested.

* Police at Luederitz are looking for a 30-year-old man in connection with the rape of a 19-year-old woman at the town.

* A 30-year-old man has been arrested in Outjo for the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl at the Ouas settlement on Saturday.
