More Red Cross arrests

THREE more suspects have been arrested in connection with recent thefts at the Namibian Red Cross Society.

The Red Cross yesterday confirmed that Jesaya Nghilalulwa, the sixth Red Cross employee to be implicated in the matter, as well as two members of the public, Mandume Mweshixwa and Theopolina Hamakutua-Kamati, were arrested on Wednesday, and appeared in court yesterday.

Five other Red Cross employees appeared in court on Monday on charges of stealing the items from their employer, and were subsequently suspended on Tuesday.
