Killer rains

OMUNGWELUME - Heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds, fell over the Ongenga constituency in the Ohangwena Region on Friday evening, damaging buildings and uprooting trees.

The rain also killed several goats and sheep.

At Omungwelume village, some farmers lost up to six goats.

The rain also filled many oshanas and made many roads impassable.

Despite the damage, farmers were happy that the rain brought relief after a number of dry months.
