Second break-in at Pep Stores

* STAFF REPORTER

A SECOND Pep Stores outlet, this time at Uukwaluudi in the Omusati Region, was broken into last weekend.

The unknown suspects cut the corrugated iron walls of the shop with an unknown object, and made off with a number of men's shirts, T-shirts and trousers, girl's tops and underwear, as well as sweets and plastic bags.

The items were valued at N$1 794,89.

A week ago, Police reported a break-in at Pep Stores at Otjiwarongo, which they said happened sometime between December 7 and 12.

The suspects broke in through the roof, and in that incident, managed to steal cash and stock valued by the company at around N$68 000.

* On Wednesday, Police arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with a similar break-in that happened at a cuca shop at a village at Ongandjera.

The suspect, Josephat Nekwaya, appeared in court on Wednesday for allegedly cutting the roof of the cuca shop and stealing items with a total value of N$931.
