The Mayor of Helao Nafidi, Medusalem Handjaba, received the cheque from the OBA representative on behalf of the expo preparatory committee. In receiving the cheque, Handjaba confirmed that his council would host its first-ever Business Expo/Fun at Oshikango today till Sunday, with the intention to expose the town to potential investors. He told Nampa that close to 200 local and outside entrepreneurs (big and small) have already confirmed their participation and shown interest in showcase their products and services during the course of the Expo/Fun. The Expo/Fun, according to him, is set be officially opened by Works, Transport and Communication Minister Joel Kaapanda on Saturday, the same day the first-ever Miss Helao Nafidi Beauty Contest would also be hosted. "Together in unity, we do much better and achieve more," said Handjaba, adding that the necessary expo arrangements were all in order. Helao Nafidi is a fast-growing town in the Ohangwena region, which was established a year ago, and it covers various settlements and villages along the Ondangwa-Oshikango main road at Onhuno, Ohangwena, Omafo, Engela and Oshikango. - Nampa |
