* TANJA BAUSE

The Mineworkers Union of Namibia (MUN) is to hold its ninth annual congress from tomorrow to Saturday with the theme 'Building a Stronger Union through Education, Solidarity, Networking and Economic Empowerment'.

Almost 300 delegates are expected, including representatives of sister unions from Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia will also attend.

Agenda points include the increasing corruption in Namibia and the union's contribution towards achieving the goals of Vision 2030.

A new leadership will also be elected.

Resolutions passed at the congress will guide the union for the next four years.
