New office for Nasoma

* KRISTIINA JUUTINEN

THE National Social Marketing Programme (Nasoma) has acquired office space in Windhoek West because of high rents in the city centre.

The new offices were inaugurated on August 12 by the German Ambassador to Namibia, Dr Wolfgang Massing, and the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Social Services, Simwanza Simenda.

Nasoma's objective is to ensure the availability, accessibility and affordability of male and female condoms in Namibia through social marketing and, at the same time, ensuring behavioural change towards condom use.

The programme is funded by the Federal Republic of Germany.

The organisation has regional offices in Keetmanshoop, Oshakati, Rundu, Katima Mulilo and Otjiwarongo.
