3-nation forum at Katima

KRISTIINA JUUTINEN

PARLIAMENTARIANS from Namibia, Angola and Zambia will gather at Katima Mulilo this week to discuss strengthening transboundary relations.

Delegates will discuss links between natural resources management and development and preventing potential conflict on transboundary natural resources.

There will also be presentations on the Trans-Caprivi Highway and the Walvis Bay Corridor.

The forum is a follow-up to a workshop about transboundary relations between Angola and Zambia, held in November.

The aim is to provide an opportunity for MPs to share information, establish practical strategies and define their role in transboundary co-operation in terms of resources and environment.
