Tuesday, September 28, 2004 - Web posted at 8:16:25 GMT How Do They Get Permits When Namibians Are Unemployed? WHILE my heart goes out to the Bangladeshi workers and their families I do wonder what they are doing in Namibia in the first place. |
|
I would understand their presence if they were skilled and training Namibians, but they were not. We have thousands of unemployed Namibians desperately seeking work. I thought the government stated that our own people were to get employment first. Please would The Namibian do some investigation as to how these people and the unskilled Chinese/Koreans managed to secure work permits in our country. Our government promised its people employment, and maybe they should look at the street corners every morning where Namibians are desperately begging for work. So why let the foreigners in? Apparently there are more than 50 000 registered Chinese in this country, and now we have a Chinese mafia to boot! Is someone in the government getting a nice payoff from these countries? I am sure the majority of your readers would like to know what corruption is going on behind the scene, so please investigate the above for us and let us know the truth.
