Babies At N$299,99

I HUMBLY ask your newspaper for some guidance and an explanation in terms of the stories featured on page 3 of your 10th September issue.

The two stories I refer to are LAC raps stricter stock theft terms and 6 years added to baby murder jail term.

Has the world gone completely mad? A serial rapist/murderer kills a defenceless 9 month old little baby, then, rapes/assaults another two people.

In the first instance he is given a ludicrous sentence of 12 years, which is then reviewed and changed to 18 years imprisonment.

However, if you steal a cow worth over N$500,00 it's 30 years in prison.

On a pro rata scale that puts the life of a little baby at N$299,99.

Sorry, but I just don't understand the logic.
