Passions back to usual time slot on NBC

CHRISTOF MALETSKY

POPULAR soapie Passions is back at its usual time slot on television barely 24 hours after the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) had changed its schedule.

The time slot for Passions was shifted from 20h30 to 23h00 when the NBC launched its new image on Monday.

Hileni Fillemon of the NBC's Public Relations Department told The Namibian yesterday that "the public complained terribly" when the NBC moved Passions to the later time slot.

"Due to popular demand," Fillemon said, Passions will "be broadcast in its usual time slot, which is 20h30.

Generations remains at 18h30".

On Monday the NBC launched a new image aimed at improving the quality of service offered to its viewers and listeners.

The 'New Look and Feel Image of the NBC' includes a breakfast television show.

The NBC has also promised an additional television channel by next month.
