Two men allegedly raped

IN an unusual turn of events, the alleged rape of two men was reported in yesterday's daily Police crime bulletin.

A 27-year-old man reported to the Grootfontein Police that he was sexually molested on Saturday.

According to the man, he was allegedly raped in the shower of a house along Dr Nicky Iyambo Street at around 20h00 on August 30.

The alleged perpetrator, 51-year-old Johannes Martinus, also known as Hans van der Merwe, is alleged to have held his victim at gunpoint.

He has since been arrested.

At Kamanjab, a 26-year-old man was allegedly raped at knife-point on Saturday.

No suspect had been arrested by late yesterday.
