Two murders at Keetmanshoop

TWO men were murdered at Keetmanshoop over the weekend.

On Friday, the Police found Jeremiah Hamman (30), a resident of Tseiblaagte who had been stabbed in the back with an unknown sharp object.

He was certified dead on arrival at hospital.

The Police crime report said 21-year-old Reginald Titus had been arrested in connection with the incident.

At around 01h30 on Saturday, Emil Basson was found lying on a road in the Tseiblaagte area with a stab wound to his chest.

No arrests have been made to date.

* At Luderitz, Wilbald Nangola (25) was shot in the right upper leg at about 02h20 at Spokiesdorp on Saturday.

Nangola was a resident of Sand Hotel.

No arrests have been made.

* Gideon Swartbooi (35) was stabbed in the neck with a sharp object at Okahandja over the weekend.

He is believed to have become involved in a quarrel with an unknown man about the alleged theft of his goats.

The suspect remains at large.

* Police at Rehoboth have arrested Demitri Kaluo (33) for the death of Ervin Gariseb (31).

Gariseb was stabbed in the back with a sharp object and died at Nawasport farm about 01h00 on Sunday.

A quarrel between the two is said to have led to the murder.
