Power cut in Goreangab

WINDHOEK - Residents and businesses in Goreangab Extension two and three in Katutura, Windhoek, should brace for an electricity blackout from 07h30 to 17h00 on Thursday.

The City of Windhoek said in a media statement yesterday that the Goreangab Load Centre would be shut down because of major extension and maintenance work on the 66 kV line to the Damwall Distribution Centre near the Goreangab Reclamation Plant.

The statement said the work would have to be done before Friday when the Goreangab Reclamation Plant would be in full production again.

The City of Windhoek warned that all electricity installations should be regarded as live during the blackout period as the electrical network could be energised without prior notice.
