Wednesday, September 3, 2003 - Web posted at 10:20:37 GMT The Stef has landed! ERICA GEBHARDTIT'S all about Stefan here in Nam and we have momentarily forgotten about the rest of the housemates vying for the USD100 000. |

Stefan's eviction party was held at the Windhoek Country Club last night and fans and supporters, dressed to the nines, came out in their hundreds ready to break it down with bra Stef. Honestly, one would think Ja Rule has landed in Namibia the way people are going on! Bra Stef has worked his way into the hearts of Namibians and he is reaping the fruits of his new-found fame. "I'm overwhelmed and I'm grateful for the support," Stefan told a press conference yesterday. Bra Stef is looking hot and has transcended from being an Afrikaans boy from Windhoek, to an-Africa-wide sex symbol. Y'all should have seen the adoring fans who swarmed the airport to greet Stefan. They were rather excited and screeched and wailed for Stefan's attention, somewhat like the adoring fans of the Beatles back in the days on those old videos! Some followed Stefan in his X5 all the way from the airport and screeched from the sun-roof of their vehicle en route to the capital city. The turn-out at the Windhoek Country Club was also phenomenal. One youngster was even holding a poster that read 'Stefan for president!' Whatabout hey? I really am quite surprised by the response from the public as Africa's newest star is born. Still life goes on for our five housemates living in what Stefan called a luxury prison. In case you're wondering why the housemates spent most of the day engrossed in various comic books, here's why: For their final task, the housemates have to create an all-African super hero so they are swatting up and deciding who and what their super hero will become. Of course, there's no wager because on Sunday we will crown the winner. Both Cherise and Tapuwa are not really feeling the task and it's understandable considering this is the last one. The housemates have also chosen some super hero bedding for their last week in those small beds. Cherise has gone with Batman, Warona with Spiderman, Gaetano Buzz Lightyear of Toy Story, Mwisho has The Hulk and Tapuwa's gone for Harry Potter. The rooms are rather colourful now. Biggy was also nice enough to provide the housemates with a telescope so they could scan Mars while she is so close to us. The words on everyone's lips: who takes home the dollars. Gae was the first guy in the house, he could be the last one out. There's no doubt that he has his fans on the continent but he is quite dishonest. I heard when Stefan said that he even stole beers from Abby while in the house, so what's to keep him from continuing in that dishonest manner for the rest of his life? He ain't getting my vote, that's for shizzle. Cherise is not that hard off, now that I think about it. And for me she hasn't been notorious enough to get the cash. She just hasn't performed all that much. I really think she's just been herself and it doesn't really take much out of you to do that so, sorry Cherise baby, I'm now voting for Mwisho to get the tong. Think about it, how many evictions has Mwisho survived? And then I look at Morogoro and think Mwisho would really be the man out there with USD 100 000 added to his budget. Mwisho is rogue enough, real enough, laidback enough and has the makings of a star by anyone's standards. PARTY WINNERS In just one day, The Namibian received more than 600 entries for the two tickets up for grabs for last night's BBA party. The lucky winners were 28-year-old Kalwenya N Jonas and Charity Mwiya (30). |
