Chaun-i Wu (44), alias Yichi Wee, is charged with the illegal possession of protected game products (two elephant tusks and one rhino horn), a pistol, a rifle, ammunition and prohibited drugs. "Part of the bail conditions is that all his travelling and ID documents will remain the possession of the State until such time that the trial is completed," a court official told The Namibian."He must also report three times daily to the Walvis Bay Police. He must also not leave the Walvis Bay district without the written consent of the investigation officer and he must not leave his house between 20h00 and 06h00." Wu was arrested at his residence at Long Beach, Walvis Bay, on April 5, together with five other Chinese nationals who are still to appear before the Immigration Tribunal for being in Namibia illegally. Wu is next due to appear in court on July 30. 30-YEAR-OLD Benjamin Segojang received a sentence of 12 months' imprisonment or a fine of N$2 000 from Magistrate George Mbundu in the Windhoek Magistrate's Court on Wednesday last week. Segojang pleaded guilty to driving with an excessive blood alcohol level. He had 0,26 grams of alcohol per 100 ml of his blood when his blood alcohol level was tested after he was detained while driving in Bach Street, Windhoek, on March 10 last year. That is more than three times the legal limit. Windhoek teenagers go missing THE Police are looking for Shikongo Ndiiwa Shikonekeni (15) and Daniel Maisha Ishashululwa (13) who went missing from their residence in Judika Street in Katutura, Windhoek, on April 12. Both boys are Oshiwambo-speaking. Ndiiwa was wearing a white T-shirt, yellow trousers and red shoes, while Daniel was wearing a red long-sleeved shirt when they were last seen. |
