Showers fall over central Namibia

LATE rains have drenched Windhoek over the past few days.
On Monday the Hosea Kutako International Airport received 11,9 millimetres of rainfall, while 9 mm was measured in Katutura and 5,2 mm in the centre of Windhoek.

Mariental received 11 mm, Luederitz 2,3 mm, Karibib 4 mm and Omaruru 4,3 mm. Gobabeb and Outjo received just drops.

According to NamWater's Weekly Dam Bulletin, the Goreangab Dam is now at 98,7 per cent of its capacity, compared to 100,5 per cent at this time last year.

The Hardap Dam in the Mariental district is 86,9 per cent full, compared with 94 per cent last season.
