Three villagers charged for poaching

THREE villagers in the North have been charged with poaching five hartebeest last week.

Lot Lukas (54), from Eenguwantale village, Shivute Amadhila (20) from Okalunga village and a 14-year-old boy, all from the Oshana Region, appeared in the Oshakati Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

They were not asked to plead and their case was postponed to December 3.

Scores of villagers were picked up this week in connection with the poaching of the wild animals which escaped from the Etosha Game Park.
