Bakondja's case delayed

BAKONDJA Katjiuongua, who faces multiple charges related to fraud and escaping from Police custody several times, is scheduled to plead to the charges early next year.

Katjiuongua (22) and his co-accused, brothers Lawrence and James Isaacs, (both 23), and Simeon Muule (23) re-appeared before Windhoek Magistrate Sarel Jacobs yesterday to be told that their case had been postponed to January 31 next year.

Katjiuongua, the son of former parliamentarian Moses Katjiuongua, was one of Namibia's most elusive fugitives. He eventually handed himself over to the Police.

All the accused have been remanded in custody. - Nampa
