Golden Bees soccer tourney ALL soccer clubs in Namibia have been invited to enter a soccer tournament to be hosted by Golden Bees in Outjo on August 4 and 5. The winning team will receive N$3 000, the runners-up N$2 000 and the losing semi-finalists N$500 each, while the entrance fee is N$450 per team. National Pool League THE National Eight-ball Pool league will start on July 31. Oshana women's soccer tourney THE Namibia Women's Football League will host its second regional tournament at Oshakati on July 21 and 22. A floating trophy and prize money of N$3 000 is at stake while the registration fee is N$100 per club. All teams will have to cover their own transport, accommodation and meals. Umulunga soccer spectacular ALL first division teams and Premier League B teams are invited to enter the N$10 000 soccer spectacular to take place at the Umulunga Stadium in Grootfontein on July 28 and 29. The winning team will receive N$5 000, a cup and gold medals, while the runners-up will receive N$2 000, a cup and silver medals. The losing semi-finalists will each receive N$1 000, while the entrance fee is N$470 per team. Several veteran teams will also participate in the "Honour Games". They are Grootfontein All Stars, Rundu All Stars, Tsumeb All Stars, Windhoek Internazional, Swakop All Stars and Otjiwarongo All Stars. Ten per cent of the gate takings will be donated to the former soccer great of BMC, Otjiwarongo, Ferdinand "Ou Gold" Namubeb, who needs medical treatment.
