Swakopmund duathlon

THE first duathlon at the coast, to be sponsored by Kodak and Photographic Enterprises, takes place on Saturday, July 21.

Apart from the main race (5 km run; 30 km cycle; 5 km run) the organisers offer a mini race (400 m run; 1,8km cycle; 400 m run) for the kids.

Individuals as well as teams can enter in both events.

Participants should register at 10h00 at the Swakopmund Hotel & Entertainment Centre.

The mini event starts at 11h00 and once all the kids have finished the main event will start.

Lots of prizes are to be won in different categories as well as spot prizes for lucky entrants.

After the race at 13h30 the annual general meeting of the Swakopmund Triathlon Club will be held at the cinema at the Swakopmund Hotel.

Sponsored snacks as well as a cash bar will be available for those attending the meeting.

The STC committee urges all club members and interested parties to attend the meeting.
