Unam Giants demolish Pirates

THE University of Namibia Hockey team, Giants, demolished Pirates by seven goals to nil in the men's Premier League match on Sunday.

The women's Premier League match between Ramblers and Unam Hoppers ended in a goalless draw.

Unam Rookies beat Ramblers by default in the men's First League, because Ramblers did not have enough players to start the game.

In the women's First League Unam U2 beat Wanderers by two goals to nil.

More action is billed this coming weekend when Pirates meet DTS in a men's Premier League match, while Wanderers meet DTS in the women's Premier League.

Delta meet DTS II and Wanderers meet DTS II in men and women's First League matches respectively.

Unam is leading the men's Premier League with seven points followed by DTS on six points.

Wanderers is leading the women's Premier League with five points followed by DTS, Ramblers and Unam on four points each.

In the First League for men, DTS is leading the log with seven points followed by Unam with three points.

In the women's first league DTS III is leading the log with 10 points followed by Wanderers with seven points.

Top scorers in the men's Premier League are Reagan Graig from Pirates and Joseph Kashamako from Unam Giants with three goals each.

In the women's Premier Division Gina McGregor from DTS leads with three goals.

Unam Premier League teams are expected to travel to Oranjemund this coming weekend. - Nampa
