Mitchell was a comfortable winner in the women's category in a time of 2 hours 22 minutes and 47,45 seconds, more than 20 minutes ahead of Charmaine Shannon, while Tania Frankle came third in 2:46:20. Wilders won by an even bigger margin in the men's senior category, completing the event in 2:09:13,77, well ahead of second-placed Paul Brinkmann who came home in a time of 2:33:19,07, with Peter Brinkmann coming third. Tineke de Boer won the female veterans' category in a time of 03:08:02.19. The senior male competition was won by Wilders, who clocked 02:09:13.77, followed by Paul Brinkman in a time of 02:33:19.07. Peter Brinkman finished third. Helgo Horsthemke won the junior male competition with 02:48:40.57, while Willem Venter scooped the men's veteran section with 02:49:53.70. In the team sprint event, the first male junior was Dunstan Haufiku in a time of 01:03:17.70 and the first male senior was Russell Paschke in a time of 01:04:56.73The first senior female to cross the line in this section was Nicky Knox, who registered 01:03:32.58, while the first senior male was Stanley Louw in a time of 01:03;32.58.
