Walvis Bay marathon

THE Walvis Bay Marathon and 10km event takes place at Walvis Bay on Saturday, January 27.

In conjunction with Kudu's Rugby Club, a road relay for teams of 10, with each runner completing one kilometre, will also be presented.

Walvis Bay Salt Refiners will again sponsor the event which is presented by Swakop Striders.

The event will start and finish at Duneside High School with the marathon runners setting off at 07h00 and the 10km and relay teams approx 30 and45 minutes later.

Entries for the marathon will be accepted from approx 06h00 with entries for the shorter distances taken immediately after the marathon runners have set off.

The entry fees are N$15 for the marathon and N$15 for the 10km event, while the relay event is free of charge.

There will be prizes for category winners in the marathon and 10km events with tracksuit badges on a limited scale.

All finishers will receive a soft drink.
