My Dae Chiefs triumph

MY Dae Chiefs FC on Sunday walloped a Gobabis Invitation "Dream Team" 4-2 in their relegation play-off preparatory match played at the Legare stadium.

Chiefs put up a wonderful performance, scoring three goals in the first half to put the matter beyond the Dream Team's reach.

However, in the second half the Dream Team wasted many chances which robbed them of an equaliser with Crocks Nunuheb and Ally Ganeb being the culprits.

My Dae Chiefs stepped up a gear in the dying minutes and scored the fourth goal to kill off any effort of a comeback by the invitational team coached by Choice "Kambuta" Tjerivanga.

In another match played earlier in the day, Golden Stars beat visiting Golden Bees from Botswana's small town of Charles Hill 3-2.

Golden Stars, who led 2-1 at changeover and scored their third goal a few minutes into the second half, saw the better part of the second half as the Botswana lads fought hard but in vain.
