Freak death

POLICE at Keetmanshoop are investigating the death of Willie Frans Klukowski who died when the blade of a grinder broke and slit his throat at about 16h00 on Monday.

The 25-year-old Klukowski was reportedly using the grinder on a wall at a house in 2nd Street in the Noordhoek residential area.

He died on the spot.

* An 18-year-old youth has been arrested for fatally stabbing a young man of the same age at Soetdoring Laagte, near Stampriet, at 23h00 last Friday.

Petrus Huisemab is said to have died on the spot after the suspect stabbed him in the back with a knife.

It is not clear what led to the fight.

* A case of culpable homicide is being investigated at Oshakati after Loide Shipombo (36) died after she was hit by a passing vehicle along the Ongwediva-Oshakati main road on Monday.

She died instantly.
