North opts for status quo
OSWALD SHIVUTE AT OSHAKATI

FOUR towns in the North have re-elected their incumbent mayors for the year 2001.

The Oshakati Town Council has voted in Engelbert Atshipara as Mayor and Council Hileridis Nandjambi as his deputy.

Members of the Council's Management Committee are Katrina Shimbulu, Epafras Nghinandova and Loise Shivolo.

* Ongwediva's Town Council re-elected Erastus Uutoni as Mayor and Patricia Kashuupulwa as Deputy Mayor.

Members of the MC are Angela Angula, Maria Aween and Julia Nepembe.

* Ondangwa Town Council has re-elected Peter Shituula as the Mayor and Selma Nandago as his deputy in the place of Letty Tuutaleni who becomes a member of the Management Committee with Otto Kapia and Sem Nangolo.

* The Eenhana Town Council re-elected Hilda Moa Shimbonde as Mayor and Paulus Mwandingi as her deputy.

The Chairperson of the Management Committee is Jacob David, with Nangula Hanghuwo and Takatu Hanghuwo as members.
